A classic trainer with modern livery and capabilities.

N8903Y is a 1970 PA-39 Piper Twin Comanche. These were the last Twin Comanches made - only 155 total. An excellent multi-engine trainer; counter-rotating propellers and other safety improvements resulted in an accident rate reportedly 1/3 that of ‘conventional twins.’

Notable Features

GI275(x2)

Garmin’s answer to upgrading aging aircraft gauges with an advanced Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS), all fitting in the existing space of an avionics panel. A “glass” representation of the classic “6-pack.”

GTN 650xi

The newest-generation from Garmin, this GPS/NAV/COM includes WAAS, VNAV, and other state-of-the-art features, with the ability to load and activate the latest approaches with LPV minimums.

GFC-500 Autopilot

Garmin digital 2-axis autopilot with the most advanced Safety and Automated capabilities you’ll find in General Aviation aircraft.

GTX-345

EI CGR 30-P Twin Combo

Electronics International’s most advanced digital engine monitors, serving as certified replacements for analog engine instruments in a more centralized, easy-to-read location for pilots.

Counter Rotating

Propellers that spin clockwise on the left, and counter-clockwise on the right, thus balancing the effects of torque and p-factor. This eliminates the ‘critical’ engine, enhancing air safety under engine-out situations.
